Locals enjoy night of music and food at Moonlight on the Wabash

Local News

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Community members and residents enjoyed a relaxing evening Wednesday along side the Wabash River with jazz music and food.

Riverscape hosted the Moonlight on the Wabash on Sept. 15th at Fairbanks Park. This event was held to transform the riverfront into an active place for our local communities.

Gerry Barner, the organizer of the event, said it is a special way to just come out and admire the Wabash River.

“I think they’ll be surprised at how beautiful it is because many people are still under the assumption that it is not a beautiful river,” Barner said. “And I think they’re going to be very excited.”

They also encourage you to become a member of Riverscap. All you have to do is sign up at their website wabashriverscape.org.
