VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute City Council candidate forum was held at the Vigo County Public Library this evening, by the League of Women Voters.

Eleven candidates will be running in this year’s primary which includes six districts. Residents got the opportunity to ask the candidates questions, and express their concerns about different topics.

President of League of Women Voters Carolyn Callecod said it’s important to the residents to attend these events.

“Determine how they feel about that candidate. It’s all about making an informed vote and gathering as much information as possible,” Callecod said.”

The primary will be on May 2 and we will be following this race and others throughout election season.
