TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Dozens of residents gathered on the Rose-Hulman campus Saturday to support Catholic Charities.
The organization hosted its third annual “Cheers for Charity,” a wine and bourbon tasting that sees all proceeds go towards Catholic Charities.
Jennier Tames, the assistant agency director for the non-profit, said receiving support from the community is crucial for them to provide services, and events like this help make that happen.
“With Catholic Charities we look for various opportunities to get our community involved. Whether it is volunteer activities or in the case of this, in coming to events to learn a little bit more about Catholic Charities as well as contribute to all the services we provide,” she said.
The event comes during the 50th anniversary for Catholic Charities. More information on upcoming events can be found on their website.
