Repairs, upgrades planned for Vigo County Annex, commissioner says

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Repairs and some upgrades are planned to get underway soon at the Vigo County Annex.

Vigo County Commissioner Chris Switzer said an issue with an underground drainage pipe has caused the northeast pillar of the entrance canopy at the annex to sink.

RQAW has been contracted for $75,000 to look at and analyze the issue and design a new entrance to the building. The goal, Switzer said, is to make a single entry way with a front desk assistant who can direct people on where to go.

Commissioners would also like to improve annex security, Switzer said, by adding a metal detector to the entrance as well.
