TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A not so new exhibit at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum has been fully restored thanks to Rose-Hulman student interns and project managers.
“Run with the Animals” is an interactive exhibit to challenge children wanting to see if they can out-run a variety of animals. It also has a new feature where children are presented with a map of the world`s continents and includes information about where the animals live, eat and play.
Senior Director of Rose-Hulman Ventures Brian Dougherty said that exhibits like this help children learn science in a unique way.
“Watching the kids run on the exhibit actually make sit all worth while. Kids need the opportunity to explore science in a fun way,” Dougherty said. “For some reason we tend to think of science as hard and icky, well that’s not the case. It’s actually a lot of fun.”
This exhibit is on the third floor of the museum.
