TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute Regional Hospital began vaccinating its staff against the COVID-19 virus Thursday.

First to receive the shot was Dr. Darren Brucken, who from the beginning of the pandemic, has been battling it head-on, pulling double duty as Lead Hospitalist for Regional and as the Health Commissioner for Vigo County.

Nurse Brooke Thomas was up next. As an ICU nurse at Regional, Thomas has treated the sickest COVID-19 patients.
