TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The annual Red Kettle Campaign is officially underway in Vigo County.
The Salvation Army of Vigo County held a kick-off celebration Thursday hosted by Dr. Thomas Balitewicz, director of student services at Vigo School Corporation and Salvation Army advisory board member.
Several more volunteers are needed in order for the Salvation Army to reach its fundraising goal of $120,000. For those interested in bell ringing, register at www.registertoring.com.
Those unable to participate in bell ringing can still become a Be-A-Kettle Booster by dropping off a check in any kettle between Nov. 15 and Dec. 24. Call Envoy Sue Linden at (812) 249-9986 for further details. Checks should be made payable to: The Salvation Army Vigo County, 234 S. 8th street, IN 47807
Money raised through the Red Kettle Campaign stays in the community to help those in need with things such as utility and rent payments.
