Raw meat stolen from local store, couple arrested

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A couple was arrested after allegedly stealing more than $200 worth of raw meat from a Vermillion County store.

According to the Cayuga Town Marshal’s Office, Bradlee S. Williams, 24, and Jennifer N. (Brown) Blakeney, 34, were identified as two suspects who walked out of the Cayuga Red and White Wednesday afternoon without paying for an uncut ribeye valued at $185.

Following Wednesday’s theft, the store manager searched surveillance video and found the suspects were in the store twice Sunday, Nov. 22 taking four whole pork loins valued at approximately $90.

Blakeney and Williams were arrested during a traffic stop Sunday. They were transported to the Vermillion County Jail where they are currently being held on $7,000 cash only bond. Both are also wanted on warrants out of Fountain County.
