TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Progress is being made on the upgrades to Brittlebank Park.

Six pickleball courts will be added to the park in addition to a basketball court, a bathroom, bleachers and a new playground.

The parking lot will also be expanded, and everything at the park will be ADA approved.

The money comes from a $250,000 grant gifted by Indiana DNR as part of their Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Vigo Co. Parks Superintendent Eddie Bird said previously that discussions are ongoing about adding splash pads at other parks as well as a new pool at Deming Park.

A timeline for those projects is currently unknown.
