TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — According to officials at the United States Penitentiary in Terre Haute, a fight caused injuries to two men with one requiring transport to a local hospital.
The incident occurred at 11:50 a.m. Thursday. Emery Nelson of the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ Office of Public Affairs said the fight was between two incarcerated people.
Nelson said prison employees were able to isolate and contain the incident. One man was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment of injuries. A second man was reportedly treated by medical staff at the facility for minor injuries.
No employees were injured in the incident.
