The hardest hit area appears to be Bloomington which the map reports has at least 10,000 customers without power.

Duke Energy has posted the following statement regarding the ongoing restoration efforts;

Strong, persistent winds are forecasted for much of Saturday. We expect these gusty condition to cause additional outages and, to some degree, slow the progress of restoration from last night’s storms. Crews have already begun making repairs where conditions allow. Once winds subside across the region the pace of our outage restoration will increase. We greatly appreciate your patience.
