CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Officials have announced that culvert replacement projects will force the closure of approximately two miles of S.R. 42 in Clay County.
According to INDOT, the project is expected to begin on or after Monday, October 23, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. The closure is expected to be between S.R. 59 and County Road 300 W.
INDOT expects the closures to last into early November if the weather cooperates. During the closure, crews will be working to replace old culvert pipes under the roadway.

INDOT’s official detour is to use Interstate 70 to U.S. 40.
