VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A juvenile is in custody after police say they fired a gun from the passenger seat of a vehicle in the Lester Square area of Vincennes.
According to a release from the Vincennes Police Department, calls came into dispatch around 7:53 p.m. on Wednesday of a gun being fired. Investigating officers would learn that a vehicle approached the intersection of 9th and Church streets and that the passenger in the vehicle reportedly fired several shots.
Police report that no one was injured. But added that multiple witnesses led police to identify a juvenile suspect.
Around midnight, police located the juvenile and placed them under arrest. The juvenile was taken to Southwest Indiana Regional Youth Village. Police thanked the members of the public who came forward with information that led to the arrest.
