Police chase in Terre Haute ends with one man arrested

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One man was arrested Friday morning after a police chase went through Terre Haute.

An officer tried to pull over a vehicle for speeding just before 11 a.m in the area of 16th and Locust Street. The chase ended when the driver crashed into a fence and a parked car parked at Switzer Auto Repair on Eagle Street.

The driver and the two passengers got out of the vehicle and were detained. The driver was identified as 19-year-old Dustin Ferrell of Brazil, Ind. According to police, he is being charged with resisting law enforcement and operator never licensed.

The other two passengers were underaged and released to their families with no charges.

No injuries were reported.
