GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – State Road 59 in Linton near Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area will remain open next week, as the Indiana Department of Transportation announced Friday that a planned pipe replacement project had been rescheduled to August 17.
The project was initially scheduled to begin this coming Monday, August 10, but weather conditions and high water levels forced crews to delay the work.
The road will be closed to through traffic, but local traffic will have access until the construction area. The project is expected to last 15 days, and the Indiana Department of Transportation is recommending drivers to follow the official detour down State Road 67.
