The driver of the pickup, Allen Lee, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated/endangerment. Alcohol was a factor in the crash, and upon further investigation of the pickup, Copeland found 70 grams of marijuana and over 100 pills, classified as a schedule 4 controlled substance.

The occupants of the other vehicle were not seriously injured,  but were examined by medical professionals. Emergency personnel were already working in the roadway at the previous crash scene.

Agencies assisting the sheriff’s office were Sullivan City Police, Sullivan City Fire Department and Sullivan County Ambulance.
