PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The fifth annual Parke County Rumble, a fundraiser event for local students, is scheduled to start at noon on Saturday in Rockville, Ind., and finish at Ivy Tech Community College in Terre Haute; signups for the event are still open.
The event, a motorcycle ride through Parke County that ends with a celebration at Ivy Tech, raises funds every year to “support educational opportunities” for students in the area. Attendees will receive a t-shirt upon registering and entry to a “freak show,” bike show and awards banquet.
Registration for the event will start at 10:30 a.m. on June 26 at the Thirty-Six Saloon in Rockville, Ind., and will continue at noon with a scenic motorcycle tour through Parke County that will conclude at 4 p.m. at Ivy Tech. The bike show, with award categories including people’s choice, earliest entry and the Ivy Tech Chancellor’s Choice Award will start at 4 p.m. with an entertainment “freak show” to follow at 7 p.m.
Registration for the event is $25 per bike and includes the cost of the ride, show entry and shirt. To register or volunteer, go to ivytech.edu/rumble, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 812-298-2450. Registration will also be available from 10:30 a.m. to noon the day of the event at the saloon.
