TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A parade took place Friday afternoon in Terre Haute in an effort to inspire local children about careers.

Sugar Grove Elementary school held its annual Career Day event in a socially-distanced manner. Local businesses and agencies paraded around the school in their company trucks and cars.

Eight careers were featured in the parade. Participants included the Terre Haute Fire Department, Terre Haute Police Department and Wallace Brothers Disposal and Recycling.
