BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Young basketball players will get a chance to hone their skills with representatives of both the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever in Brazil next week.

For a second year, the Jr. Hoops Tour will make a stop at the Clay County YMCA in Brazil.

Officials with the YMCA said that enthusiasm for the event is high as all 150 registration slots filled up within 24 hours of the announcement.

On July 20th from 10:00am-4:00pm the group will be providing “an opportunity for boys and girls, ages 6-14, to learn the fundamentals of the game, as well as emphasizing sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and healthy living.” Along with all of this, the tour participants will also receive a shirt, complimentary lunch, prizes and there will be special guest appearances. This tour travels all around the state and is presented by the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Ascension St. Vincent.
