TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Car owners and enthusiasts met up Saturday on the lawn of Top Guns in Terre Haute for the Gears for Grunts Car Show. Over 150 different cars were on location, but Hot Rods weren’t the only ones to see.

Visitors also got the opportunity to see a hummer, some vans, and a couple of road-trippers that the older generation may remember fondly. 87-year-old Terre Haute resident, Jim Wood, was happy to see the same model Jeep he drove while serving as a marine in Japan.

“I’m old enough where there’s hardly any car here older than I am. The jeep- that’s my favorite one because it gives me the chance to look at something that’s a part of history- my history,” Wood said.

All proceeds from the event went to the Loyal Veterans Battalion.
