Ouabache Land Conservancy hosting wildflower hike Saturday

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Ouabache Land Conservancy is inviting nature enthusiasts to a spring wildflower hike of the Atherton Island Natural Area near Lyford in Parke County Saturday at 1 p.m., Phil Cox, Ouabache Land Conservancy Vice President of Programs, announced.

The hike will be led by University of Illinois Research Scientist Dr. James Nardi. The terrain is moderate to sometimes rugged, therefore appropriate hiking apparel is recommended.

The event is free. Due to limited parking, contact OLC via email at phil@ouabachelandconservancy.org to make reservations and get directions.
