TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association hosted its eighth annual OPERATION THAW Saturday, including a charity motorcycle ride, a dinner and a raffle. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Loyal Veterans Battalion to help veterans in need with clothing, support and guidance.
“The rest of the proceeds will be used by us to help veterans in our way,” said Steve Kenworthy of the organization. “We build ramps, help veterans in need in many ways. So the rest of the money is used throughout the year to help us complete our mission to vets helping vets.”
The group rode their bikes through Terre Haute, and then to Sullivan, Spencer and Brazil.
