GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — You can help support children in need with a local organization’s end-of-year giving campaign.

Open Arms Christian Ministries in Greene County helps neglected, abused, and troubled youth. It offers therapy to help children heal from trauma and also provides them with a safe environment through its Miriam Home for Girls and Hebron Home for Boys. An end-of-year giving campaign will help Open Arms advance these programs.

“Some of the things that the money is going to do is to help the therapeutic options that we are expanding, so we’re expanding into art therapy, music therapy, and green therapy. We’re also doing some renovation at our Hebron Home to make it feel more like a home,” said Alyse Rick, Special Events Coordinator.

The funding will also help the organization license more foster families as it also assists children in foster care.
