TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – One person was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after leading police on a vehicle pursuit from Vigo into Clay County.

Terre Haute Police said a call came in just before 3:30 pm of Domestic Violence in the 2100 block of N 26th Street.

The caller advised a male was fighting with a female on scene.

The male was identified as Joshua D. Corbin, 29, of Brazil.

As officers were in route, Central Dispatch advised that Corbin had multiple active warrants for his arrest out of Clay County.

As the first officer arrived on scene he reportedly witnessed Corbin getting into a large red pickup truck and then fled from the officer and the scene.

Prosecutors said THPD pursued Corbin east through Terre Haute, and then into Clay County where he was was taken into custody in the 5000 block of SR-340.

Corbin was taken into custody without incident and was brought back to the Vigo County Jail where he faces felony charges from the incident.

Officials confirm Corbin will later be extradited to Clay County for the warrants he was also arrested on.
