On My Way Pre-K is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year.
It is a program in Indiana that provides free, high quality pre-k options to low income families.
Vigo is one of 20 Indiana counties to participate in the program.
WTWO/WAWV met one family who used the program to enroll in Indiana State University’s preschool program.
Judi Taylor says not only is her son learning a lot in the program, but the school also helps him cope with behavioral issues.
“We actually discovered that he has ADHD and ODD, which is a little bit like a spectrum disorder,” Taylor said. “I never dreamed that I would have gotten the help that I got from them also, not just taking care of my son but helping us find the right place for him, but helping him succeed throughout his whole life.”
