TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Old National Bank Foundation presented a generous donation to help homelessness among veterans in our local community.
On Wednesday, the foundation presented a check for $10,000 dollars towards the veteran’s village.
Dan Gmelich, the market president for Old National Bank, hopes the donation contributes to 12 Points’ development and continues to improve the community, and of course, he hopes it will help out veterans in need.
“The veterans deserve to be taken care of. Many of us fought for our country, and as you know, veterans continue to be needed. We just want to make our community a better place for everybody,” Gmelich said.
As previously reported, six tiny homes are being built at Veteran’s Village, located at Maple Avenue and North 23rd Street.
They’ll serve as transitional homes for local veterans experiencing homelessness.
