TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Northside Community Church hosted its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday.

Pastor Clark Cowden said that they prepared over 5,000 eggs for the event. Cowden said that about 500 people participated in the hunt.

The event is divided into five different age groups to ensure that each child gets a basket full of eggs.

Cowden said that he’s happy to provide a safe and family friendly environment for the community ahead of the Easter holiday.

“It’s fun to be a positive place for the community where people can have good interactions and good relationships with other people in the community,” Cowden said.
