FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Volleyball season is just around the corner, and one high school in Sullivan County got a head start on its fundraising Thursday evening at El Patron Mexican Restaurant in Farmersburg.
Players on the North Central High School volleyball team assisted staff by refilling customers’ drinks, chips and salsa, and cleaning tables. Volleyball coach Heather McCoskey said the fundraiser will help with essential needs for the upcoming 2021 season.
“We’re very excited. We do have a small team this year, so it’s a little disappointing with our numbers, but we’re going to be pretty powerful this year even though we’re young. We’re really excited to get back on the court.”
The team’s first home game will be on August 17.
