TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Veteran Health Indiana is hosting a “Topping Out” event for the new Terre Haute VA Outpatient Center on Wednesday.

Veterans are invited to be part of history by signing a beam to the facility on Wednesday between 12:30 and 2 p.m.

The Terre Haute VA clinic was authorized by Congress and the President as part of the Veterans Choice 2.0 legislation signed in August 2017.

The $40 million facility will house primary care and mental health teams capable of providing health care services to 10,000 veterans. Basic imaging, physical therapy, optometry, telehealth, audiology, home-based care and other support services will also be housed in the new clinic to open in the fall of 2021.
