TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday for a new ‘Little Free Library Box,’ that will be located inside the lobby of the Booker T. Washington Community Center.

The new library box was painted by kids who are part of the after-school program and it was sponsored by Chances and Services for Youth.

“It’s really nice to get kids making art and making something the community can enjoy. So, it was, I feel like it’s more special when you have kids participate to do it,” Project and Event Manager for the Vigo County Public Library, Sarah Trover said.

Organizers say they’re pleased to be able to spread literacy throughout the community.
