BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Soon it will look a lot like Christmas in downtown Brazil.

Brazil Main Street received $21,500 from the Wabash Valley Community Foundation.

The money will be used for long-term Christmas decorations that will be hung in the next few weeks.

“One hundred wreaths on the 50 light poles downtown along with some really large lit wreaths at Brazil City Hall and the fountain at Forest Park,” Main Street Brazil member Josh Alsip said. “What this will do is kind of create that Hallmark feel of a consistent wreath theme throughout town.”

The organization hopes to add even more wreaths around the city in the future and encourage businesses to put wreaths on their doors.
