VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Veterans Day is this Saturday and on Thursday, a local college held a special program to honor those who have served our country.
Vincennes University’s Veterans Day program took place at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. The audience heard from the keynote speaker U.S. Navy Captain David Miller. In addition to honoring our veterans, Miller said events like this are important for inspiring young people.
“So they can see the men and women in uniform and they can ask their questions of these men and women, questions that they want to know about the service for them,” Miller said.
The event was open to the public.
