MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO)– A Bloomington man has been arrested for murder after a shooting at a residence on Saturday.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered a dead body when responding to a call in the 5900 block of E. State Road 45 around 1:30 a.m. An AR-15 style rifle and a civilian-style stun gun were discovered near the body.
Police took 34-year-old Bryce Leighton in for further investigation, and he was later charged with murder. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into the incident.
