TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Mollie Wheat Memorial Clinic hosted their annual Back to School Day Saturday morning.
This is a day where kids can go get their mandatory vaccines and sports physicals before school starts. The event was completely free and allowed all members of the Wabash Valley to get the medical care they deserve.
This was a great opportunity for athletes to get a free physical before fall sports begin in August.
Luke Swartz, Chair of the Mollie Wheat Memorial Clinic, explains why he loves Back to School Day.
“It’s a culmination of a lot of hard work for a ton of people behind the scenes. We’ve got a bunch of super inspired and passionate medical students who are looking to help the community out in any way they can. Seeing everybody collaborate and work together and put on a great event is what’s super awesome to see.”
The next clinic date for this organization is August 5th from 8 am to noon.
