TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A California man arrested in Vigo County on his way to Ohio with $5 million worth of drugs won’t spend another day in jail.
Kaler pleaded guilty last week to dealing methamphetamine and dealing cocaine. Drug possession and maintaining a common nuisance charges were dismissed.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison with credit for 9 days already served; however, 9 years, 353 days was suspended.
Kaler will be required to submit a DNA sample to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department. He will also be prohibited from possessing a firearm and will be on probation for the remainder of his suspended sentence.
He was also ordered to pay fines and court costs totaling $385.
