TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Middle schoolers in the area had the opportunity to show off their skills at the 12th annual Regional Bowling Tournament.

The tournament was held at Vigo Bowl in Terre Haute. Over 80 kids from Terre Haute, Lebanon, Sullivan, Crawfordsville and others competed for their place at semi-state next week in Lafayette.

Each division is based on students gender and grade level. The administrator for the tournament, Melissa Torxel say since last years event was cancelled due to COVID-19, the kids were excited to be back competing.

“It was wonderful. We were so glad that we could get the season in and get it back going,” said Torxel. “It’s a wonderful feeder program into our high schools so that makes it really nice to be able to go through with it.”

1st place winners received a medal with the second place winners receiving a certificate.
