McDonald’s honors International Women’s Day, local celebration included

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) -Monday, McDonald’s celebrated International Women’s Day.

One such event took place at the McDonald’s on the southside of Terre Haute.

Female McDonald’s owner operators from Terre Haute and Evansville spoke to the group.

A local owner says 55 percent her staff are women and she is proud that women are an important part of the business.

“We work hard everyday, we advocate for one another, engage with each other in the operator community as well, and it’s just great to a part of this day.” said Jami Kasprzyk, Terre Haute McDonald’s owner-operator.

Kasprzyk and her husband own nine McDonald’s in the area and seven of those stores have female general managers.

McDonald’s has 715 female owner-operators across the nation.
