MARSHALL, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — The City of Marshall recently announced the dates of the City Wide Cleanup.

According to a post by the City of Marshall, there will be a week-long City Wide Cleanup for residents only within Marshall city limits. From April 24-29, people will be able to bring various items to the City Garage, located at 1401 Archer Ave for disposal. 


The City Wide Clean up schedule is as follows:

  • April 24 | 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • April 25 | 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • April 26 | 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • April 27 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • April 28 | 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • April 29 | 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.

However, there are several items the city will not accept. Unacceptable items include:

  • Yard waste/brush
  • Liquids of any kind
  • Paint
  • Fuel
  • Oil
  • Unrinsed and/or unpunctured jugs
  • Asbestos
  • Hospital or medical waste
  • Dead animals
  • Butane/propane/freon tanks
  • Concrete
  • Hazardous waste
  • Tires
  • Electronics

A shredding event will also be on April 29th at the same location from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. Marshall residents are welcome to bring any documents they would like to be shredded during the shredding event as a part of the city-wide cleanup.
