TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Making sure people in need have the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal was the goal of a local non-profit.
Manna from Seven in Terre Haute does a food distribution every Friday and this Friday was their Thanksgiving food distribution.
They saw about 520 cars and 60 walk-ups at the event which took place at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church on North 7th street.
The Food Pantry Assistant Director, Penny Frederick, said this is their biggest day of the year.
“[This is the] Friday we plan the most for and have the most attendance. We have the cars drive through the alley. We’ve got stations set up and we’re hoping to provide as traditional a Thanksgiving meal as possible with our Thanksgiving distribution,” said Frederick.
