VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Justin T. Henry, the suspect who was hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting in February, has been medically released and placed under arrest.

According to a release from ISP, Henry, 46, of Urbana was flown to an Indianapolis hospital after suffering gunshot wounds that resulted from a stand-off with law enforcement on February 24, 2023. Henry had also shot and injured Vermillion County Deputy Joey Wilson during the incident.

Henry, who was shot by police, was said to have been in critical condition, but has since recovered and was released from the hospital on March 27. Henry was then taken into custody by ISP.  

Henry was taken to Vermillion County Jail where he is now being held without bond until the initial hearing takes place.

Henry is scheduled to appear in Vermillion County Circuit Court for an initial hearing Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
