TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man charged with murder and arson following the 2020 deadly fire that killed his brother has been found guilty.

A jury Thursday found Samuel Haney, Jr. guilty on all counts more than a year after his brother, 52-year-old Terry Haney, was injured in a fire he set. Terry later died at an Indianapolis hospital.

Samuel was arrested just hours after the fire, and had been initially charged with arson resulting in serious bodily injury.

Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 21.
