Man, dog rescued after truck crashes into water

WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man and his dog were rescued Monday night after a pick-up truck crashed into approximately 4 feet of water.

The truck went off the roadway around 9:35 p.m. in the area of Southlake Road.

When Sugar Creek Fire Department arrived at the scene, the man and dog were still inside the truck. Crews were able to bring them both to safety. No injuries were reported.

Transcare Ambulance and the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department assisted.

The truck and attached trailer were pulled from the water Tuesday morning.
