JASONVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man died Sunday after emergency crews found him unresponsive in a Greene County lake.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says around 10:15 a.m. Sunday Greene County Dispatch received a call about a person struggling in the water at Midland Lake.
When a Jasonville police officer and Clay City firefighter arrived on scene, they found a man unresponsive in the water. The emergency respnoders swam to him and brought him back to shore.
DNR said the man was taken to Greene County General Hospital and then flown to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis where he was later pronounced dead.
The man’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification. His exact cause of death is pending autopsy results.
