(WTWO) — An 18-year-old was arrested after police said he was responsible for a shooting that sent two juveniles to the hospital Friday.
The suspect, Christopher Compton, 18, of Terre Haute, is facing one charge of aggravated battery at this time, according to Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse. Compton was arrested after being located in the suspect vehicle Friday.
Just before 11:30 p.m. Friday, Vigo County deputies were called to an address on East Brookside Drive in Southern Vigo County for a reported gunshot wound. There, they were told two male juveniles were shot at the address and that a vehicle fled the scene just after the shooting happened.
Both victims were taken to Regional Hospital. One has been released, while the other is in stable condition.
Not long after the shooting, Terre Haute police located the suspect vehicle in the 1200 block of Spruce Street in Terre Haute. Two men, one of whom was Compton, were taken to the Sheriff’s office for questioning.
The investigation into the shooting continues.
