LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It’s a big Friday for the Linton Miners as they head into the weekend of the Semi-State showdown on St. Patrick’s Day.
Local law enforcement and first responders showed out for the Miners’ big send-off. The team’s busses were escorted by several firetrucks and police cars on Friday afternoon.
The #1 27-1 Linton Miners are heading to Southport for their Semi-State showdown with Parke Heritage Saturday afternoon at 12.
If they win, they will play for the Semi-State Championship in 2A Saturday night at 8 p.m.
The Miners have won 23 games in a row and will look to advance to their first state championship game since 2019.
