FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — 84 students received recognition on Wednesday from more than 40 school districts in Indiana and Illinois.

At the Top Of the Class Luncheon, valedictorians from across the Wabash Valley were invited to take part in the annual event that’s been taking place since 1991.

Many of the graduates brought their parents and other family members, while several principals were also in attendance.

Students enjoyed a delicious lunch, took photobooth pictures, and received a certificate for their accomplishments. They also received congratulatory gifts from Lincoln Trail College.

“It’s an amazing experience to be here to be a part of this and to see everybody that’s here today and have the opportunity to say congratulations to all of these top-performing students we have in Illinois and Indiana,” said Chris Ford, the Coordinator of Public Information & Marketing at Lincoln Trail College.
