TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Members of the International Union of Police Associations Local 133 presented a donation of $1,000 to the WTWO Pack It Back for the Summer program.

IUPA Local 133 represents officers in the Terre Haute Police Department. Tuesday, they presented a check for $1,000 to WTWO General Manager Tim Sanders to go toward the program that provides backpacks filled with food for area children to help get through the summer months.

Local 133 Vice President Lance Sanders called Pack It Back for the Summer a great program while saying union members were proud to support it using funds raised through union dues.

If others wish to participate in this year’s Pack it Back for the Summer program, donations can be made until May 15.

Suggested items for donations are:

• Applesauce
• Bottled water
• Boxes of cereal
• Boxes of mac and cheese
• Canned fruit
• Canned tuna/chicken
• Canned vegetables
• Fruit snacks
• Gatorade
• Goldfish crackers
• Granola bars
• Jello
• Juice boxes
• Oatmeal
• Peanut butter
• Plastic jars of jelly/jam
• Popcorn
• Poptarts
• Pretzels
• Pudding
• Soup
• Spaghetti sauce (no glass)
• Whole grain pasta
• Whole grain snacks
