LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The William T. Murphy Community and Wellness Center has returned after a two-year closure due to COVID-19 concerns.

Many of its programs including the fitness room and Meals on Wheels program have returned as well.

The Meals on Wheels program is no longer homebound in most cases, but Manager Deena Bakers said that those eligible are welcome to come to the center for meals. Those who are 60 years old and older are eligible to use the center.

Baker said that normally serve about 15 meals per day.

Baker explained that she’s excited for the facility to be back open, and that those who use the facility share the same feeling.

“It makes me feel good,” Baker said. “I enjoy them being back and being opened and like normal.”
