Putnamville, IND. (WTWO/WAWV) – Indiana State Police K-9 Jett will now have some extra protection when he is on duty thanks to a generous donation from Vested Interest in K-9s, Inc.
The Indiana State Police currently employs 29 Patrol K-9s statewide. These brave pups participate in more than 3,500 law enforcement details annually, ranging from vehicle and building searches to tracking suspects.
These patrols can be dangerous, which is why Vested Interest in K-9s, Inc. works to provide protective vests for law enforcement K-9s nationwide.
The group has donated over 5,000 vests with the help of private and corporate donations. For more information or how you can get involved visit their website or call 508-824-6978.
