PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local hospital is reminding the community to be mindful about COVID-19.

Horizon Health in Paris, Illinois says, like many parts of the country, it is seeing a small increase in cases.

Eunice Chaney, the hospital’s Director of Risk Management, Privacy and Occupational Health, says so far the cases have been mild and the impact on the hospital has been low.

Still she reminds people to be vigilant.

“I think it’s really important to know that we will see this come and go. This is not something that’s going to go away and stay away, and just to continue to maintain that vigilance in the way that they’re taking care of themselves and their family,” says Chaney.

According to the CDC’s data tracker, as of June 3, 2022, community spread is low in all of our local counties.
